Moroccan Hammam Spa Designed and Installed for Shortflatt Tower, Newcastle

In brief:

Leisurequip were recently contacted by Jono and Octavia at Shortflatt Tower in Newcastle. After an initial consultation we were commissioned to design and install an authentic Moroccan Hammam Spa to be part of a larger wellness retreat which they called Fullerton Place Spa.

Consulting with the client

Shortflatt Tower is a premium wedding and spa venue based in Northumberland. The bespoke Hammam spa concept was devised after a long drive up to see Jono and Octavia. They had expressed what they were trying to achieve in terms of design and experience for their exclusive clients.

The treatment facility was named Fullerton Place Spa by Jono and Octavia. The team had further expansion ideas of enlarging this facility in the future with more initiative exotic spa treatments.

The overall design was achieved by installing an overhead deluge double shower above a heated massage table, heated seats, deluge wash down and 2 x Tylo steam generators, giving multi flexibility in personalising each spa treatment.

In the Moroccan arched ceiling there are fibre optic mood lighting with accompanying LED up lighter and down lighters. The Hammam Spa was designed with a Moroccan feel to inspire the clients’ well-being.
